Install
Download SurvivorsLite-<version>.zip from the
latest release. The
zip holds one folder named SurvivorsLite, which is what the game's installer
wants. GitHub's "Download ZIP" of the source code does not install.
Browser game
- Open Options, AddOns, Install and pick the zip.
- Remove SurvivorsDragonUi on the same page so the two do not both run.
- The addon loads on your next run. A login line in chat says how to open the options.
A new version installs over the old one and keeps your settings.
Windows build
Unzip so the game's AddOns folder holds SurvivorsLite\ with
SurvivorsLite.toc inside.
Options
Any of these opens the options window:
/sliteor/sl- the gear on the minimap's edge
- the gear at the end of the floating action bar
- the SurvivorsLite button in the game menu (Esc)
Every setting changes live and has a tooltip. Esc closes the window. "Move frames" lets you drag the hero bar, action bar, party frames, status list, run stats, damage meter and the circles' center. Reset asks for a second click.
Picked jewelry
Under the floating action bar sits the jewelry you picked this run: the amulet, the
two rings and the two trinkets, in that order, each with an edge in its quality color.
A piece on cooldown shades from the top and counts its seconds. Point at one for its
tooltip. With the floating bar off the row sits over the game's own bar.
/slite jewelry off or "Picked jewelry" in the options hides it.
Run stats
A small panel shows the numbers of the character pane while you play. The pane's
twelve always show: Health, Damage, Haste, Crit, Crit Dmg, Armor, Area, Targets, Echo,
Speed, Regen and Pickup. Under a thin line follow the rest of its run stats once
something raised them, such as Lifesteal, Lives or Vs Elites.
/slite stats all shows every one, /slite stats off none, and
"Run stats" in the options switches between them.
A number that just changed is green when it went up and red when it went down for 5 seconds, so you see what a level up pick did. Point at a row for what it means and what your worn gear adds to it. Drag the panel with Move frames.
Damage meter
A panel of bars shows your damage this run by spell, the top spell's bar the longest. Each row has the spell's icon (from your action bar, the talents' clocks, your pets and totems, or its place when none has one), its damage per second and its share of the whole. The total per second sits in the header. Bars glide to their new length as the run's meter updates. Point at a row for its damage, per second and share.
- Damage: your spells this run.
- Party: each hero in a party in class colors with the class icon, your own name in gold, their best spell on mouse over.
- Boss: your damage to bosses in the last boss fight.
- Heal: your healing by spell without overhealing, per second as hps.
/slite rows 3-15 sets how many rows show (8 by default),
/slite meter off or "Damage meter" in the options hides it. Drag it with
Move frames. The game's own meter stays; turn it off in the game's options (Show Damage
Meter) if you only want this one.
Plates and the status list
- Final boss: magenta skull. Bosses: orange skull and "ENRAGED" when they enrage. Guardians: their lair's dragon head in its color, dimmed while asleep.
- Bars show health in percent and as a number and your debuffs with stacks and time left.
- Where several units share a name (an elite pack mob named like a guardian) a plate is matched by health, so only the real one is marked. Elites can be marked too (off by default).
- Plain enemies: a thin health bar (default), no plate (
/slite mobs hide) or the game's plate (/slite mobs show).
The status list has one short line per boss and guardian. Lines whose unit has its plate up near you are bright.
| Line | Means |
|---|---|
ENRAGED 40% | a boss and its health |
asleep 90% 120 yd | a guardian in its lair and how far it is |
80% 20/40 yd? | an awake guardian: how far you are from its lair against its leash, green, orange then red |
next 0:45 86 yd | gold: the lair that comes back first, when and how far |
back in 1:10 | grey: a lair refilling later |
in 2:30 | the next boss and when it comes |
Lairs and marks
Every guardian's lair has a look of its own by its place in the run's lair line: a dragon head in a color of its own (red, blue, green, bronze, purple), drawn for this addon on a transparent background. The same look is on its minimap pin, its status line and its guardian's plate, so "the blue one" is easy to find.
- Minimap pins: grey while the lair refills and a red "!" while its guardian is awake. A pin off the minimap sits on the edge and points the way.
- The lair that comes back first is bigger, glows gold and counts down under its pin. Its tooltip says when and how far, for example "Back in 0:45, 86 yd away. Comes back first."
- Chests show as small treasure chests. Bosses are not pinned: the game sends no position for them.
Reset range (leash)
The leash is how far from its lair you can lead a guardian before it gives up and goes home. The game does not tell addons, so it starts at the setting (40 yd) with a "?" after it and is learned in play, both ways:
- While a guardian keeps chasing you, the farthest you stood from its lair counts as a distance it holds at, once it is still awake two seconds later. The leash grows to it.
- When an awake guardian falls back asleep alive while you live, where you stood is where it gave up. The addon says so in chat and the "?" goes away.
While a guardian chases you a bar over your character shows it, for example "Mother Fang 32 / 40 yd", green, orange then red, and "gives up soon" at about 85 percent. The minimap draws a ring at the leash around each held lair.
The distance is measured from you to the lair through your map position. Where the
zone has no map, like Naxxramas, the run line's world positions stand in; they move only
when the line comes. The Guardian leash slider or
/slite leash 45 sets it by hand and forgets what play taught.
Not confirmed in game yet. If the "?" never goes away after a guardian resets on you, set the leash by hand and please report it.
Circles
- Range circle: blue, 8 yd by default (
/slite range 8). An optional orange second circle (/slite range2 30). Both can grow with your Area stat. - Pickup circle: gold, at your pickup radius from the run's stats.
- Skill circles: in the options under "Skill circles" every skill on your bar with a reach is listed with its color and yards. Tick Eviscerate and Blade Flurry and each gets its own circle. The reach comes from the skill's tooltip ("8 yd radius", "12 yd range", "within 12 yd"), so it follows ranks and upgrades. An area (a radius or a cone) also grows by your Area stat, which the tooltip does not count; a targeting reach ("12 yd range", "within 30 yd") stays as shown. A skill whose tooltip counts Area already is noticed when Area changes and used as shown. Picks are remembered by skill name.
The circles are drawn above the world, so trees do not cover them. While the options are open or frames are unlocked each circle shows its radius.
Circles on the ground
The client has no addon call for the camera, but 1.12's saved views carry it:
SaveView(5) writes the camera's distance and pitch into the
cameraDistanceD and cameraPitchD settings. The addon reads them
twice a second (ten times a second right after the camera moved) while a circle shows and
projects every circle onto flat ground around your feet. View 5's own values are put back
at logout.
- The options window shows what it reads under Camera, and
/slite camerasays it in chat. - "Waiting for the camera" after you zoomed or turned the camera means this client does not write live values into saved views. The circles then stay flat.
- Match Field of view once: turn on Pickup radius and change Field of view until experience starts flying to you as it touches the gold circle.
- The ground is taken as flat at your feet, so circles drift on slopes and lag the camera's smoothing by up to half a second.
Not confirmed in game yet.
Flat circles
Without the live camera the circles are flat on the screen and need one calibration for the zoom you play at:
- Zoom out the way you play and open
/slite. - Turn on Pickup radius (it shows once a run sends your stats).
- Change Size per yard until experience starts flying to you as it touches the gold circle. The blue circle is then right too.
- If your camera looks in from the side, lower Height until the circles lie flat.
- Move frames, then drag the small "You" box onto your feet if the circles sit off center. Lock frames when done.
Zooming later makes flat circles wrong until you change Size per yard again.

Limits
- Trees still draw over the world. The client gives addons no access to the 3D scene; the ring and circles are drawn above it instead.
- Name plates jump apart in crowds. The client places them with a solver of its own and
an addon only sees where it put them. Hiding plain enemies
(
/slite mobs hide) keeps crowds calm. - Ground circles assume flat ground and a camera that orbits a point 1.5 yd above your feet.
- Minimap pins assume 1.12's minimap scale, a smaller one indoors, and that the run's lair and chest coordinates are those of your zone's map. Without a zone map they follow the run line's world position and move in steps.
- Skill circles need the skill's tooltip to name its reach in yards. A buff or a self heal is not offered. Which skills Area grows is read from the kind of reach the tooltip names; the game's own rule is not visible to addons.
- The leash is learned from the run's sleep state, so a guardian that falls asleep for another reason teaches a wrong value. The slider replaces it.
Problems
An error window in Alterac Valley
"QuestTimerFrame:SetPoint(): Couldn't find region named 'MinimapCluster'" comes from the game's own layout code, which cannot find the minimap frame by name there. Since 1.7.1 SurvivorsLite catches only that error and still places the chat dock and bags.
A red "SurvivorsLite error" line in chat
The addon caught one of its own errors and kept running. Please open a bug report with the line and a screenshot.
A skill is missing from the skill circles
Its tooltip names its reach in a way the addon does not read yet. A screenshot of the tooltip in a bug report lets it be added.
